I tried out the fun ombré nail polish trend the other day and decided to create a mermaid blue-green-purple gradient.
I started out with a white nail polish as the base (Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in White On) and then began layering different polishes with a make-up sponge. I used Essie Turquoise and Cacaos for the lighter turquoise, Jessie's Girl Mermaid Lagoon for the darker turquoise, and lastly, Jessie's Girl Confetti for the blue-purple glittery tips.
It was fun to do, but next time, I would completely cover the white nail polish and start with the light turquoise shade at the base of the nail so the white isn't as stark against my skin. You can use this sponge-layering technique with endless polish variations to recreate this trend!
